Shreya Pithia and Leyna Nair of class 10-D, DPS Monarch International School participated at QATAR LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE on 8th and 9th November 2024, which was hosted by THIMUN, Qatar. They proudly represented an international organization “Equip2Empower” which works towards paving the way for disadvantaged children towards sports.
Taking up the role of student presenters they conducted a 90 minutes workshop emphasizing on the importance of empowering young leaders through the power of sports. During the workshop, they conducted interactive activities through which the attendees understood the importance of sports and the problems faced by underprivileged youth. A booth had been setup as well to spread the awareness on the mission of Equip2Empower.
They received positive feedbacks and connected with multinational students from different schools across Qatar. At Qatar Leadership Conference, they even attended a few other workshops through which they learnt the importance in the development of leadership skills among the youth. They look forward to attend more such conferences in the future as well.
