DPS Monarch recently celebrated Poshan Pakhwada with its kindergarten students, emphasizing the importance of nutrition and healthy eating habits. The event was a delightful mix of education and creativity, aimed at instilling early awareness about making healthy food choices.
Teachers introduced the concepts of nutrition and balanced diets through simple, engaging conversations. They explained how eating fruits, vegetables, and whole grains keeps the body strong and active, while too much junk food could lead to health issues.
Each child was provided with two plates—one for healthy foods and the other for unhealthy foods. Using cut-outs they arranged the plates according to healthy and unhealthy foods. The healthy food plates showcased vibrant fruits, vegetables, and other wholesome options, while the unhealthy plates often displayed chips, candy, and sugary beverages.
The celebration successfully encouraged children to think critically about their food choices. Poshan Pakhwada at DPS Monarch proved to be an educational and joyful experience, reinforcing the school’s commitment to nurturing healthy habits and creating a strong foundation for lifelong well-being.
