An Inspiring Session for Teachers by Distinguished Toastmasters
The DPS Monarch Toastmasters Club hosted an engaging and enriching session on Toastmasters for all the teachers on 23rd March 2025, from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM, at the School Multipurpose Hall (MPH).
The session commenced with a warm welcome and felicitation of the Distinguished Toastmasters (DTMs), Mr. Vinodh K. Pisharom and Mr. Sheik Abdul Kadher by our VP-education TM Abdur Rahman Jamal Yousuf
DTM Vinodh K. Pisharom, an electronic engineer by profession and a trainer, mentor, and coach by passion, he has been an active Toastmaster since 2003. Recognized as Qatar’s Most Vibrant Mentor at DTAC 2022, he has guided numerous champions, including the 2nd place winner at the World Championship of Public Speaking (WCPS) 2023. His professional journey includes a tenure at Al Watan and Qatar Tribune newspapers, where he served as the IT & Production Head while also contributing as an editor and columnist. He finds fulfillment in giving back to the fraternity that played a pivotal role in his journey of self-discovery. He shared his personal growth journey and the impact of Toastmasters in unlocking hidden potential in his Keynote Speech – “To be or not to be” encouraging teachers to join the Toastmasters Club to overcome fears and discover their true potentials.
Mr. Sheik Abdul Kadher, a dedicated Toastmaster since 2009, with over 17 years of experience, he has served as the Past President of the Indian Club Toastmasters and Qatar Laughter Yoga Toastmasters Club. A highly accomplished speaker, he has won over 100 Toastmasters speech competitions. His session focused on delivering impactful presentations, equipping educators with techniques to engage students effectively, maintaining their focus, and enhancing comprehension of key concepts.
This amazing session came to an end with a vote to thanks by our Principal Ms. Meenal Bakshi and Vice Principal Senior Secondary School and President of DPS Monarch Toastmasters club Ms. Madhu Uppal. The event was greatly appreciated and was truly a great opportunity for many to know about Toastmasters Fraternity and their successful journey. Teachers were encouraged to join the school TM Club and rediscover themselves as confident, inspiring speakers and an effective leader. The session proved to be an invaluable learning experience motivating and empowered everyone to refine their communication and presentation skills through DPS Monarch Toastmasters Club.
