DPS MONARCH INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL celebrated Earth Day a global event on April 21st April 2025, dedicated to raising awareness about environmental issues and promoting sustainable practices. It serves as a reminder of the urgent need to protect and preserve our planet for future generations. This year’s theme, “Our Power, Our Planet, “encourages individuals and communities to recognize the power they have in making a positive impact on the environment. Earth Day is a call to action for everyone to come together, understand the challenges our earth faces, and work collaboratively towards a greener, healthier world. Through activities, awareness, and advocacy, we can all contribute to safeguarding our planet for years to come. It’s an opportunity to reflect on nature’s blessings and show our gratitude.
Grade 9 and 10–Second language subject teachers conducted Short Story writing competition on the theme-A World Without Plastic Bags. Prize winners in first, second and third positions, each from Each House were announced.
Grade 11 and 12 English teachers conducted Debate Competition on the topic- This house believes that clean energy has the potential to drive world economies on the path to recovery.
The Monarchians were briefed on the theme of ‘Earth Day’ and they had an interactive session where all the students were taught to understand their responsibilities and duties towards Mother Earth.The students felt motivated to take this cause forward by spreading the message: Embracing a green life for a brighter future.
The Inter- House Bulletin Board Competition held in the same week was judged by Academic coordinators and Vice Principal Ms. Madhu Uppal of Senior Secondary section.
Inter House Bulletin Board competition winners were: Loyalty house in -1st -Position, Integrity at Second Position and Honesty at 3rd Position. By igniting passion and creativity, the school reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing environmentally conscious global citizens
