Grade 2 English Activity: Mastering Articles, Nouns & Storybook Covers
The Grade 2 English activity focused on making grammar fun through a set of interactive and creative tasks. Monarchians practiced the correct use of articles (a, an, the) using color-coded ice-cream sticks—a hands-on method that reinforced article usage in context.
The “French Fries” noun activity added extra excitement. Each paper fry featured a pair of common and proper nouns. The fries were placed in colourful, handmade fry boxes, turning grammar into a playful experience.
In another task, Monarchians designed their own storybook covers. They combined titles and illustrations to express their ideas visually. This boosted creativity and improved storytelling skills.
All three activities encouraged imagination, active participation, and practical application of language concepts.
