To mark the beginning of the new academic year 2025–26, DPS Monarch International School conducted a comprehensive Online Parent Orientation Session for Grades 9 to 12 on 23rd March 2025 between 9:30 am to 11:00 am. The session aimed to provide parents with valuable insights into the academic journey that lies ahead for their children during these critical years of secondary schooling.
Our esteemed Principal, Ms. Meenal Bakshi, commenced the session with an inspiring welcome address. She emphasized the school’s core values and highlighted the importance of holistic education, which fosters the all-round development of every student.
Ms. Madhu Uppal, Vice Principal of the Secondary Section, presented an informative overview of the Senior Secondary curriculum. She explained the school’s academic structure, curriculum framework, and key expectations, equipping parents with a detailed and clear understanding of the path forward.
The Assessment criteria was highlighted by the Academic Coordinators Coordinator for grades 9 &10 Ms. Neethu Balan. With the student’s transition into the senior years, she emphasized on the focus shift to understanding subject specialization for a strong foundation of higher education.
Focusing on subject choices and their relevance to higher education pathways, Ms. Indira Dev Roy, Academic Coordinator for Grades 11 and 12, discussed the wide range of optional subjects offered and their importance in aligning with future career goals.
Reinforcing the importance of a Education with a Difference, Activity Coordinator Ms. Radhika Pradeep provided an overview of the diverse extracurricular programs that enrich the student experience beyond the classroom.
Mr. Vinoy, Head of IT, zealously walked with the school’s digital portal with a detailed explanation. He ensured that parents could navigate the platform with ease, gaining access to academic updates and resources seamlessly. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A session, followed by a Vote of Thanks delivered by our Emcee, Ms. Payal Jain.
Overall, the orientation provided parents with essential insights into the academic structure, co-curricular opportunities, and digital tools that support student learning and development at DPS Monarch International School.
