An interesting and insightful Qatar History CPD was conducted on August,2025 at DPS Monarch International School between 1pm to 2 pm by the Head of the Department of Qatar History Ms. Priyanka Das.

The main objective of the session was to support the educators in effective teaching enhancing student engagement through the use of digital tools.

The session aimed to build teachers’ confidence in delivering historical content in a more interactive and meaningful way, using technology to support active learning, creativity, and inquiry-based approaches.

The teachers were actively engaged in  exploring  a variety of digital tools and platforms that can be used to enhance teaching, including:Google Earth & Timelines: For exploring historical sites and creating custom timelines, Padlet & Jam board: For collaborative student reflections and idea mapping, Kahoot & Quizizz: For creating interactive quizzes on historical facts,Canva & Adobe Express: For designing digital posters and student presentations, Virtual Museum Tours: Including the National Museum of Qatar and Barzan Towers.

Participants demonstrated increased motivation to develop interactive, student-centered learning experiences that actively engage learners in historical inquiry. Moving forward, teachers also recommended workshops on specific digital platforms, creation of a collaborative resource repository, and interdisciplinary curriculum integration will further strengthen the program’s impact on classroom practice. The session helped the teachers Iin building their confidence as they expressed it to be extremely useful as there was balance between content knowledge and tech integration
