“Spirit in Motion: Honouring Major Dhyan Chand”
DPS Monarch International School celebrated National Sports Day on 31st August with infectious zeal by Grades 8 to 10. Sports Captain Ms. Anagha Aji opened the event, setting the tone for a morning brimming with energy. Principal Ms. Meenal Bakshi’s address paid homage to the legendary Major Dhyan Chand, inspiring young minds to chase excellence. This was followed by a spirited speech by Head Girl Ms. Avika Gaur and a lively Zumba session by Grades 9 and 10 students that turned the hall into a festival of rhythm and movement. Organised by the PE Department, the celebration was graced by Ms. Madu Uppal, Ms. Avlin Blossom, and Mr. Kapil Christopher, making it a memorable tribute.
